A couple months ago I flew down to Memphis TN for Creative at Heart Conference round 6 at the Peabody Hotel! I had been eyeing this conference for a while because I knew there were tons of amazing speakers, so when they offered a flash sale I bought my ticket right away!
I don’t quite have the words to sum up the experience, it seems like I never do after conferences. BUT I’m gonna try. On the first night in Memphis, I got to go to dinner with several other amazing attendees and learn about what they do + who they are before the conference even started. At the conference itself, I got to meet and learn from some of my favorite photographers in my industry including Mary Marantz, Hope Taylor, and Katelyn James.
There were so many amazing speakers talking on so many helpful topics from blogging to SEO to contracts to making your worth work more. My 3 favorite talks were by Jen Olmstead, Mary Marantz and Katelyn James. Jen has a wealth of branding knowledge and I was so lucky to hear her share all about what makes a compelling brand. Mary talked about making our work worth more and was incredibly inspiring as she talked about her photography journey and how to add value to our packages. Katelyn talked on micro changes making macro results and did phenomenal. These 3 talks were my favorite because they not only talked about practical steps in business, they inspired me to live a more intentional life.
Check out those cute gifts we got at the conference– heart eyes!! Also, I was so so lucky to have Mary, Hope, Krista, and Megan as my panel leaders who did an amazing job at answering one on one questions! 🙂 If you are a photographer, or small business owner, I strongly recommend attending C@H if you ever get the chance– It will change your life and your business!
